Neil co-founded Neyo Dental Specialists in 2023 so he could deliver a first-class orthodontic service to children and adults in his hometown.
Dr Neil Woodhouse has treated thousands of adults and children using a range of orthodontic appliances including Invisalign clear aligners, clear ceramic braces, lingual braces and fixed metal braces. He has been on the GDC specialist register for orthodontics since 2013.
Neil has practiced orthodontic all over the world. He prides himself on delivering exceptional results, while keeping the whole tooth straightening process easy and enjoyable for his patients. Embarking on orthodontic treatment is a big commitment and Neil does everything he can to minimise the intrusion on his patients’ lifestyle.
As an experienced Invisalign provider Neil can expertly use Invisalign to treat patients with more complex orthodontic issues. He will work collaboratively with your general dentist and other specialist dentists to ensure you receive a joined up and holistic oral health plan.
Neil lives in Tunbridge Wells with his wife Sarah, their three children Roo, Fern and Wren, Chessie the Bernese Mountain Dog and Lola the Ragdoll cat. Aside from orthodontics, Neil has an interest in mental healthcare and provides advice and support to a Tunbridge Wells based mental health business.
Key Professional Dates:
2005 – Graduated from Newcastle University with Batchelor of Dental Surgery and commenced work as a general dentist
2009 – Started a 12 month post in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Brighton and Eastbourne hospitals
2010 – Began 3 year full time specialist orthodontic training through King’s College London. Work between Guys Hospital and the Children’s Hospital in Brighton
2013 – Awarded an MSc in Orthodontics with a distinction and the Philip Walther prize for obtaining the highest mark
2013 – Awarded Membership in Orthodontics from the Royal College of Surgeons of England and placed on the GDC specialist register for orthodontics
2013 – Began work as lead clinician at Grosvenor House Orthodontic Practice in Tunbridge Wells
2013 – Became an accredited provider of Invisalign.
2016 – Awarded Chapman Prize for best published research paper by a member of the British Orthodontic Society for work on vibrational forces and accelerated tooth movement.
2017 – Started a clinical trial in primary care to determine optimal time interval between orthodontic adjustment appointments
2019 – Moved to Australia with his wife and 3 young children to work for Hunter Valley Orthodontics to broaden his experience in treatment modalities addressing severe and complex orthodontic problems.
2022 – Returned to Tunbridge Wells
2023 – Founded Tunbridge Wells Orthodontics
