Invisalign® Clear Aligners Tunbridge Wells
Invisalign clear aligners in Tunbridge Wells are the ideal orthodontic option if you’re looking for a virtually invisible way to straighten your teeth that is both comfortable and convenient.
Rapid advances in the technology surrounding Invisalign have transformed the clear aligner product from an appliance with limited applications, into an orthodontic powerhouse capable of treating a wide range of orthodontic problems to a high standard with minimal hassle.
How does Invisalign work?
Using advanced digital planning software, we will create a bespoke clear aligners treatment plan for you at out Tunbridge Wells clinic . From this plan, Invisalign will manufacture a series of personalised clear aligners. The aligners are worn for one week each, and each aligner applies a very gentle force to your teeth, sequentially moving them closer to perfect alignment with each week that passes.
To help the aligners grip onto your teeth, we will place small tooth-coloured attachments to some of your teeth at the start of the treatment. These are used at the discretion of your orthodontist, but these will be discussed with you before we start.
The aligners must be worn for 20-22 hours per day, just being removed for eating, drinking and cleaning. We will give you several aligners to take home and you can change them yourself at home. You will return to see your specialist orthodontist every 6 to 8 weeks to check the progress and make any necessary alterations.
Is Invisalign painful?
Each Invisalign clear aligner may feel a little tight for the first few hours. Occasionally the teeth will feel a little tender but this will usually settle very quickly. some people also report some rubbing on the attachments when eating or on the edge of the aligners at other times. This will normally settle on its own but if not very simple adjustments can be made to make you comfortable again.
What happens after my Invisalign clear aligners treatment?
Once your teeth are beautifully straight and the treatment has been completed the attachments are easily removed from the teeth and all the glue is polished off without leaving a trace left on the teeth. At Tunbridge Wells Orthodontics, we will fit upper and lower bonded retainers behind the front teeth which come with a 3-year guarantee, as well as providing you with backup retainers to be worn at night-time.
You should continue to see your general dentist and hygienist for regular check-ups throughout the duration of your treatment.

What our patients say...
I had my Invisalign done by Dr Neil Woodhouse and I couldn’t recommend him more highly. He was incredibly professional and friendly and put me at ease about the procedure. He was excellent at communicating all my options and the process and he’s done a great job with my teeth; I’m really happy with the results.
Nova Maxwell
Neil Woodhouse straightened my teeth with Invisalign. The result is brilliant, his care and attention to detail was wonderful. I thought my age, 70, would impede the process, it didn’t. I couldn’t be more pleased.
Heather Beyer
I came to Neil for advice on my crooked teeth. He explained my options and talked me through the treatment plan. Now I have amazingly straight teeth. Thank you Neil for your time, dedication and great results.
Scott Baker
Dr Neil Woodhouse is my daughters’ orthodontist. He always welcome us with a genuine smile and enthusiasm. He is very informative and knowledgeable. He explains thoroughly the X-rays , photos taken and what to expect and inform us what can go wrong as well with treatment as my daughter had dental trauma when she’s still a baby and affected her lower front permanent teeth.
Thank you so much Dr Woodhouse for bringing back my daughters’ smile and confidence.
Joyce Hicban
